What does Deter block?
Deter includes a built-in list of adult sites and lets you add your own blocked domains. Browser-enforced rules redirect blocked top-level navigations before the destination page renders.
Is Deter parental-control or monitoring software?
No. Deter is designed for an adult making a personal decision about their own browsing. It does not provide remote monitoring, hidden surveillance, or browsing-history reports.
Which browsers are supported?
Deter uses one Chromium extension codebase for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave. Install from the Chrome Web Store for Chrome or Brave, or Microsoft Edge Add-ons for Edge.
Does Deter store my browsing history?
No. Deter does not collect or upload a browsing history or a history of blocked-site attempts. Review the Privacy Policy for the limited data used by accounts, trials, billing, and optional Rescue Coach requests.
Is Rescue Coach therapy?
No. Rescue Coach offers brief, general support for the immediate moment. It is not medical care, mental-health treatment, crisis support, or an emergency service.
How does the free trial work?
